ESTATE was built on a belief that every property transaction — no matter the scale — deserves the same level of care, expertise, and intention that goes into building something truly worth owning.
An ESTATE isn't just a property. It's something considered, crafted, and worth being proud of — a mark of intention that outlasts its owner. The word has long been associated with properties of distinction: places that represent more than bricks and mortar, but a considered life well built.
We chose the name ESTATE because it captures exactly what we believe every property decision should aspire to, whether it's a dual occupancy in the suburbs, a commercial development in the CBD, or a family home that will be passed down for generations. Every site has potential. Our job is to unlock it.
We don't just help clients navigate planning systems and deliver buildings. We help them make decisions they'll be proud of — decisions that stand the test of time, add genuine value, and reflect the ambition of what Australian property ownership can be.
Sam's entry into property was driven by a genuine fascination with how the built environment shapes the way people live. Long before ESTATE, he was the person in the room asking what a site could become — not just what it was. That instinct led him into town planning, where he found a discipline that matched his appetite for both creative strategy and technical rigour.
Sam has worked across residential, commercial, and mixed-use planning engagements throughout NSW. He understands councils, knows how to read a planning instrument, and — critically — knows how to build a case that gets approved. His property advisory work is underpinned by the same planning intelligence: he doesn't just identify opportunity, he stress-tests it before clients commit.
ESTATE was founded in part because Sam saw a gap in the market: property buyers and developers who needed planning expertise and strategic advice in the same conversation, not two separate engagements. That's what ESTATE delivers.
Millard brings something that most planning firms can't offer: genuine construction expertise. Having worked hands-on across residential developments, dual occupancies, and multi-unit projects, he knows what happens after the DA is approved — and more importantly, what can go wrong when it isn't managed correctly.
His background spans the full delivery lifecycle: coordinating architects, engineers, certifiers, and builders; managing construction programmes; and navigating the certification pathway from CC through to OC. He understands the pressure of a project running behind schedule, and the discipline required to keep it moving.
At ESTATE, Millard oversees all project management engagements. His involvement means clients don't just get a plan approved — they get it built to the standard the approval intended, on time, and with every contractor, certifier, and council touchpoint managed with the same level of accountability.
If a site won't get through council, or a project doesn't stack up, we say so. Clients come to us for expertise, not validation. We'd rather have a difficult conversation early than watch a project unravel late.
Whether a client is buying a property, approving a development, or managing a build — the planning system is always in the background shaping what's possible. We make sure that intelligence is always front and centre, not an afterthought.
We don't measure success by the number of reports we produce or the hours we bill. We measure it by the approvals our clients get, the projects they complete, and the properties they end up proud to own.
Initial consultations are obligation-free. We'll listen to what you're trying to achieve and give you an honest picture of the planning and delivery pathway.
